07:55 pm So I did it!
Today I paid £498 to my now landlord.
I move in on Sunday.
I'm so excited and happy. But also still wary as to whether I'm doing the right thing. Now I have to work out how to minimalise 23 years worth of belongings to fit into a room smaller than the one I have at the moment. As the parents have decided that anything I leave gets chucked. Nice of them.
I think I am making the right decision.
Even more so as Mum just came in and asked me.. "Honestly how many points do you have on your license?" So I told her 6 and we discussed my recent speeding fine. Then she asked me why I was doing 39mph anyway. Except at no time had I mentioned how fast I had been going. So yeah, she is *still* going through my stuff.
And Dad is going on and on about everything. I'm taking it all with a huge smile though because I know... just 3 more nights and I'm out :o)

02:52 pm I've accepted a challenge.
One I am not sure I can complete.
And for that reason, it remains a secret except to me and the challengee.
I really really hope I'm up to it though!

01:00 pm Last night was drunken.
Oh so drunken.
And oh so amazing.
It was my old managers leaving do so I went along with Noel. We planned to get trashed... and I managed it spectactularly.
Started in 60 million. Lots of vodka. Lots of catching up with old colleagues and friends.
Moved to Toko. Lots more vodka with some sambuca chucked in.
Randomly bumped into a girl I lived with in my 2nd year of Uni. We were never really friends but it was really bizarre. Turns out she's doing a masters in Bournemouth.
The night gets blurry from then on.
People left, more drinks were drunk.
I remember standing outside smoking with Noel and then demanding we go home.
Then I see myself sat on a shop step. I think Noel was getting a kebab.
Taxi.
Then according to Noel I went to the bathroom to put my pjs on, demanded water, sat on the bed and passed out. He told me this morning he thought I'd died. Lol.
But yes.
Amazing.
How things should be...
Socialising with close friends, having a bit too much to drink, passing out, arguing over who kept moving into the others half of the bed, tea and a fag in bed whilst piecing together the night before.

06:36 pm So. Gym was good today. Feel energised but also nothing. Lol. Started to get really tired on the running machine but powered through it and after my 10 mins was up I felt I could still stay on.
So a good session.
And came home to good news.
Basically since December I've had problems with my phone and every time I go into O2 to fix it they give me another reason why they can't. Yesterday was the final straw so I emailed a woman in customer services who'd been dealing with my complaint and told her I wanted to end my contract becasue it was unacceptable service.
Now I am getting a new phone and next 2 months line rental free, which I am happy about!

06:20 pm Last night I had 4 horus sleep. Yep. Just 4 hours. And the reason? Not the storms! A book. A fabulous book. A book called 'The Book Thief'. Noel lent it to me and I highly highly recommend it to absolutely everyone. A book has never ever made me cry so much. Nor has a book made it impossible for me to sleep. I started it yesterday and read a couple of chapters. Read some more just before I planned to sleep but every time I decided enough was enough, time for sleep I just couldn't switch off without knowing what was going to happen. So I curled up under my duvet with a torch, childhood style and read and read until I finished at about half 2 this morning. Wow, is all I can say.
In other news, I joined the gym. I had a BUPA health test thing. Lots of measurements and tests. And amazingly I have no red circles!! I'm overweight, which I could have told you anyway. And my BMI is far too high. But... apparently my waist/height ratio is ideal :o)
And, my lung function is a possible concern. Lol. Too much smoking!
But yeah, I came away mighty happy. And now I have a proper work-out plan to do every time I go so fingers crossed weight and BMI start looking good too :o)

05:07 pm Disaster averted.
Turns out my lovely customer, Herr Boll, although a bit annoyed, was fine with it. Less fine when I had to postpone the delivery by another day becasue of tank cleaning problems!!
Spent almost the entire day trying to sort out this one problem, getting more annoyed and then hopeful and the annoyed and then hopeful that there could be a possible solution.
But alas, instead of taking delivery of the product today, Herr Boll will now have to wait til Tuesday morning at the earliest.
I'm feeling quite proud of myself though. Becuase Herr Boll is obviously German. As is one of the loading locations. So I got over my fear of talking German on the phone, and did so quite well if I dare say so myself.
There's wine in the fridge chilling and it's the weekend.
Time to chill.
